Mark Menefee, originally from Hutchinson, Kansas, graduated from the University of Kansas in 2003. Despite fighting injuries throughout college, he was a three-time NCAA qualifier. After graduation, Mark joined the Hansons-Brooks team and began training under Keith and Kevin Hanson. The high-mileage program provided Mark with instant results and a new 5000m PR during the 2004 indoor season. With plans to attend law school in the coming years, this may be Mark's only shot at the Olympics.
