Dathan
Ritzenhein, originally from Rockford, Michigan, is one of the most
talented runners America has seen in the last twenty years. During
high school, Dathan won two Footlocker National Championships and
came within a second of breaking the American high school record for
5000m. In 2003, Dathan joined former CU runners Adam Goucher and Jorge
Torres as a winner of the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Seeking
his first Olympic Team at twenty-one years old, Dathan is undecided
if he will focus on the 5000m or the 10,000m at the Trials, but his
talent is sure to make him a factor in either race.
